Tip Tuesday

7 uses for coconut oil:
I have been reading about coconut oil quite a bit recently so I picked some up for around $6 from the natural section of Kroger and turns out there are so many uses for it.
Coconut oil is of course edible and is healthy to be used in cooking but there are also many ways you can use it to replace other things and for the health of your body. It is known for being antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-fungal and very moisturizing.

Here are just a few uses for it.

1.   Remove gum from hair, shoes, or carpet.
2. A substitute for WD-40 to lubricate things like stuck zippers or squeaky door hings.
3. Use as a body lotion or after sun cream and even use it as a shaving cream replacement.
4. You can use coconut oil as a healthier alternative to butter or vegetable oil.
5. Use as a face wash for removing makeup, clearing up breakouts, and moisturizing skin.
6. Uses on hair: It can be used as a conditioner in the shower and rinsed out. Also can be used to tame flyaway and add shine.
7.    Polish wood furniture by rubbing it into surfaces with a cloth. Test a small hidden area first.
