You see how I dropped that word "search" from my title. Yes it's very nice to finally have a job. Maybe not a job that is going to make me rich in money, but already it seems it can make me rich in experience, friends, and great people skills.
I've about half way though my training at Starbucks and I am doing well. It all makes more sense when it is explained to you, but it's still a lot of information to take in. I have a journey ahead of me of getting comfortable with the way things are done, but it's a journey I'm very excited to be on. I've been looking for new challenges in my life and this surely is one. It's nice to have a little bit of nerves, knowing that you will face the challenge head on, then walk away from it having succeeded.
I am still looking to find another part time job to fill in some more of my time and some more of my checking account. I have some more resumes out for jobs that are about 10-13 hours a week, which will give me that extra kick of cash that will make financial stability more possible. I'm looking for something that has to do with writing or communications, ideally, but I would also be happy with some kind of office work that might pay a little higher wage then Starbucks.
I do enjoy doing a variety of different things. If I can I hope to continue tutoring in English, working at McLaughlin Farm, and freelance writing for more supplemental income. All these things are great experiences for me, the money is just a plus.
