Couple runs into marriage

Amanda Kirschner and David Guzman said their marriage vows this Sunday along the course of the LiveStrong Austin Marathon.

This was the couple’s tenth race together and the Austin  race holds significance as it was the first one the couple completed together.

Amanda was dressed with comfort for running but still wearing a small veil and a white running skirt. Her groom wore a tuxedo t-shirt.

The couple started the race single, were married at the 22.5 mile mark, and ran the last 3.7 miles as husband and wife.

Their ceremony was witnessed by 15 guests as the couple were married by retired state District Judge Jon Wisser, also a running enthusiast.

They both could agree they didn’t want a big wedding. Running is a large part of their lives.

After the five hour, 23 minute race the newlyweds and guests walked to Freebird's World Burrito to enjoy some celebratory burritos and chips then headed home for a family celebration in San Antonio.
